Impressions
The HD300 is the latest, stylish HDD player from MPIO. Available with 20GB or 40GB hard drives you have sufficient storage for 5000 or 10000 songs (based on MP3 files at 128kbps). If you choose to use the Microsoft WMA audio format you can almost double this and therefore store almost twice the number of songs that other juke brands offer.
Sound quality and power is awesome with 30mW per channel and the SRS WOW and 3D sound effects and the included MPIO OP series earphones add to quality with improved bass and clear treble reproduction. Audio Codec support is of all the current standards including MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF and WAV. Direct MP3 encoding, and FM Tuner and recorder with timed recording features add to the functions available on the unit.
Finally, the HD300 has an 8-line backlit LCD and a touch sensitive control pad making operation a smooth and easy activity. Using the MPIO utility software you can organize your music by genre, artist, title etc, or you can simply choose to navigate your music by folders. Support for playlists adds to the flexible listening experience.
