In this article I will show you how to take screenshots in Arch Linux. By default, the Arch installation (GUI) comes with a screen capture utility. However, there are other simple and effective third party tools that can be used to take a screenshot of Arch Linux and other Linux distributions.
The standard keyboard shortcuts that work with the user interface in all Linux distributions are listed below.
PrtScn – Take a screenshot of the entire screen and save it in the Start Folder Images for users.
Shift + PrtScn – take a screenshot of the screen area.
Alt + PrtScn – Snapshot from the active window to the user’s home directory.
Ctrl + PrtScn – Take a screenshot of the whole screen in the clipboard.
Shift + Ctrl + PrtScn – Select a specific area of the clipboard.
Ctrl + Alt + PrtScn – Snapshot of the active window in the clipboard.

1. Standard method for taking a screenshot in Arch Linux
The standard installation of Arch Linux (Pantheon UI) comes with a simple tool to take screenshots. You can start the software, find the screenshot and run it.

Installation
1. Install the lock as follows

cd snapd
makepkg -si
2. After installation, the system unit controlling the main communication plug must be switched on.
activate sudo systemctl –now snapd.socket
3. Creating a symbolic link
sudo ln -s /var/lib/nap/nap
4. Installing an Eskimo
sudo-snip install
A restart may be necessary for the system to function properly. See if there is a parsnip and you can launch it by clicking on it.

Installation
1. Install the latch as follows:
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/snapd.git
cd snapd
makepkg -si
2. After installation, the system unit controlling the main communication plug must be switched on.
activate sudo systemctl –now snapd.socket
3. Enable symbolic communication.
sudo ln -s /var/lib/nap/nap
4. Installation of the safety goggles
sudo-snap installation point
A restart may be necessary for the system to function properly. Find the show and you can start it by clicking on it.

5. Screenshot in Arch Linux withcommand line tools
The ImageMagick package comes with a tool for taking screenshots from the command line. To take a full screenshot of the active window, use :

By installing a GNOME screenshot, GNOME users can print from the user interface (Applications > Accessories > Take Screenshot) and the command line.
For the command line, type gnome-screenshot, which takes a screenshot and a dialog box for saving.

To select a specific area, select -a, and once the mouse pointer starts, you can drag and select the area.

Scrot is a tool that allows you to take screenshots of the CLI and set custom deadlines.
To take a screenshot of the whole screen:

To enter the selected area, enter :
scrotum -s foto.png
Prints to set the delay and give a little more time to capture the image:
skrot -u -d 2 image.png
Where you represent the currently active window and d the delay in seconds.
