Record Audio Notes in WhatsApp without Long Pressing the Mic Button

With this guide, I want to help you understand how to send voice messages via WhatsApp without holding down the microphone button.

Allow me to introduce myself: I am Frankie Caruso (author of the blog), an expert in messaging applications and passionate about mobile hacking techniques. Welcome and thank you for coming.

In this tutorial created today, I would like to show you how to record a longer voice message in the hands-free mode of your WhatsApp email service.

First, let me show you the official method of using a feature that WhatsApp introduced a few years ago. You may not even know she exists. Then I plan to unlock a trick that allows me to send messages on the speakerphone with Siri (iPhone) or via Google on my Android device.

Recording voicemail messages with WhatsApp without holding down the record button can be useful in many cases. If you need to send a very long voice message or if you need to use both hands for something else when sending a message, this can be an example.

Let’s not waste any more time.

I want to show you what you can do now to help.

Recording voice messages without using hands

I will first explain how to record and send voice messages in hands-free mode using WhatsApp’s main recording feature and then switch to using Siri or Google.

Sending voice messages to WhatsApp Handsfree

This process is very simple, just follow these 5 simple steps:

  1. Opening a chat branch on WhatsApp
  2. Press the microphone button
  3. Slide your finger to the top of the screen.
  4. If you let go, your message will be recorded.
  5. If you drag to the same place, the recording is complete and can be sent as usual.

These steps are the same whether you use an iPhone or different Android devices from different developers such as Samsung, LG and Google.

Frankie’s take:

Would you like to delete your message during the recording for any reason? You can do this by pressing the CANCEL button.

WhatsApp Hands-free messaging with Siri and Google Assistant

I’ve said before that you can send messages of any size without having to hold the microphone key, using the available Siri prompts or the Google Assist function.

The main difference between what is now an official method and the use of an integrated wizard is the limitation of sending messages via Siri and Google. None of these wizards can send voice messages through the application, but they can decode your voice into text messages of different lengths. The audio function will hopefully be available soon.

It resembles both your iPhone and your Android device.

I’ll show you how fast it is.

  1. For those of you with an iPhone, start with Hello, Siri. Those with androids will tell their assistants Ok Google or A Google.
  2. Now that the assistant’s listening, tell me: Send the WhatsApp message to {CONTACT}.
  3. Say the message you want to send and Google or Siri will write it for you.
  4. You will be asked if you are ready to send a message and if so, you can say so: Send or Cancel.

Transcription has made great progress in recent years because these assistants can detect pauses and sentences to determine when punctuation is needed. Problems are rare.

Pay attention: If you would like to know more about using Siri with WhatsApp, you can find my official WhatsApp manual for using Siri with WhatsApp here.

Deleting accidentally sent audio messages

You may already be stressed because you sent the wrong person a good message. Maybe it was the right person and the message went wrong.

You may find many compromising or offensive messages that you can send and don’t know how to respond to them. These include harmful situations such as sending a compromising video to your boss, insulting your partner or insulting and mocking someone. You could soon regret what you sent.

Luckily, she’s not lost.

The WhatsApp service allows you to delete messages you have sent in a chat room before they are read (or heard). If you change your mind quickly, or send a message to the wrong branch of WhatsApp chat, you have a chance to get rid of it if you act fast enough.

A feature known as Delete for All allows WhatsApp users on all platforms to delete all WhatsApp messages you send.

The only drawback is that the message is read or checked before it can be deleted.

Follow the steps below to delete a message:

  1. Open WhatsApp and the chat room where there is a message you want to delete.
  2. Hold the message. You can select and delete multiple messages at the same time.
  3. At the top of the screen, press Delete and then Delete for all.

When this happens, the text replaces the deleted message, which has been deleted in all threads other than This message.

In the same way, if you come across these words in a chat room, you can assume that the sender liked them better and rejected them.

Don’t forget that after sending, you have exactly 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds to delete a message that everyone could see. After this time (4096 seconds) you cannot remove them.

I have written a guide to removing WhatsApp messages that you should take a closer look at.

Remember this:

  • To delete everyone’s messages, senders and recipients should use the latest version of WhatsApp, which is available for Android or iPhone.
  • If one of these parties does not use the latest version of the application, deleting messages is not supported.
  • Anyone can read your message before deleting it, or if the deletion failed (unfortunately you will not get a message if the deletion failed).

Frankie’s take:

Make sure you delete the message for everyone before the double blue box appears. This signal indicates that the message has been read. I have written a detailed tutorial describing everything you can learn about WhatsApp checkboxes.

Conclusion

We’ve come to the end of this little guide. I hope you now have a better and better way to send voice and text messages via the speakerphone and to delete messages sent by mistake.

Summarized: You can send long voice messages via WhatsApp by pressing the microphone button and moving it up in the chat. This function allows you to capture the picture in hands-free mode.

You can also use Siri (iPhone) or Google Assistant (Android) to send text messages via the mobile service.

Do you have any doubts, questions or concerns? Do you know the alternatives and would you like to share them with the group? Leave a comment below and I will contact you as soon as possible.
